Jim Rinehart points out that most of us knew that RCA Building 1 was originally a Westinghouse tube plant. They also made Cunningham tubes. There were Cunningham posters on the wall in the building to the north of building 1. RCA had to buy Cunningham in 1931 as a result of a patent law suite. The DeForrest and Edison tube patents only covered the use of tubes as multi element diodes and not for amplification.
